TVR Premier Pickleball League (TPPL)

Player Registration

WHAT IS TPPL?

The League Advisory Committee has been working on a new, competitive Pickleball league for the 2026 Fall Season – TVR Premier Pickleball League (TPPL). This league is for Triology at Verde River residents and "active" members of the TVR Pickleball Club. All matches/games will be played on our TVR courts. Think of this as “intramural league on steroids.”

SKILL LEVELS & DIVISIONS

Three Divisions
- Men, Women and Mixed
- You may sign up for more than one division (ie., Men and Mixed, or Women and Mixed).
- Minimum Number of Players: 32 players per division
Three Skill Levels
- Advanced (3.5+)
- Intermediate Plus (3.0-3.49)
- Intermediate (under 3.0)
Ratings
- TPPL will use the players' current APPL rating (if they have one) to determine which level they should participate in. If you do not have an APPL rating, use your best judgment to access your skill level.
- The League committee will have the final decision as to any players' individual rating. Players should ensure their rating on the TVR Pickleball Website is accurate; it will be used by the committee if ratings are in question.
- Need to update your rating? Go to tvrpickleballclub.com, login into your account, and update your skill level rating under your profile.

TEAM FORMATION

Please consider serving as a team captain when you register. Captains will be selected once registration is concluded at midnight on June 19.
League/Team Captains will host a draft to select teams.
Once the draft concludes, team captains can entertain trading players.
Each team member must play in 40 percent of team matches.

LEAGUE RULES

Matches consist of 3 teams (6 players) from each team.
Each match will consist of three games.
Visiting team selects serve or receive at start of each match/games.
Home team remains on the same courts; visiting team rotates.
Each game will play to 15 points, switching sides at 8 points.
Teams must win by 1 point.
Teams will receive 2 points for winning a game; 1 point will be awarded to the opposing team if they score at least 8 points.

KEY DATES & LOGISTICS

- TPPL League Play will be scheduled for October 15 - December 10, 2026
- TPPL Match Play Schedule: Please take note of the day of the week various teams will play.
- Mixed Doubles teams will play on Mondays
- Women's Doubles teams will play on Wednesdays
- Men's Doubles teams will play on Fridays
- Please do not register for the TPPL league if you are not available and on-property (at Trilogy or in Arizona) during those weeks in the fall, or cannot play on the days listed above.

CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT

Championship bracket placement will be based on points accrued during League play.
In case of a tie in total team points, the team with the lowest total opponent points is placed higher in the standings.

PLAYER REGISTRATION DEADLINES

Player Registration will be open June 1-19.
You must be a resident of Trilogy at Verde River and an active, dues-paying member of the TVR Pickleball Club in order to play on a team.
Registration fee is $25 per player. Note that our Club policy is no refunds once registration is submitted. If you need to drop out, contact the TPPL League lead.
Please do not register for TPPL if you are not available or on-property (in Arizona or TVR) during the match play weeks in the fall, or cannot play on the days of the week listed above.
